Evinrude/Johnson Needle Bearing Grease (0378642, 378642)

Needle bearing grease is utilized to hold loose bearings in place while performing assembly during both powerhead or gearcase rebuilds and provides initial start-up protection for powerhead bearings until the oil pressure is sufficient to lubricate the bearing. 

Tech Note:  This 4oz tube will be sufficient to rebuild several gearcases / powerheads.  This holds the large loose pinion bearings in place while installing the upper driveshaft into the gearcase.  This is also handy when working with the un-caged roller bearings that are found on the connecting rod where it meets up with the piston.  The Rod to the Crankshaft is a caged variant and is not necessary for this particular bearing.
